Quick Breakfast Ideas To Entice Your Child

Tempting your child with a healthy breakfast is difficult work. For some reason, children appear to think that a healthy breakfast isn't yummy. Preparing a breakfast which has your child’s approval, is healthy and doesn’t take very long to prepare can seriously limit our choices.

There’s pointless for us to spend every morning cajoling, begging and lastly scolding our kids to eat their breakfast without making faces. We’re providing you with four quick breakfast ideas which are guaranteed to make your mornings less frustrating.

These breakfasts are wholesome, fulfilling and provide your child the right start to your day.

Yogurt with sliced fruit
In the event that isn't a quick, easy and fun breakfast, I don’t understand what is! All you have to do is try taking some yogurt out in a bowl, mix sliced fruits inside it (can be more than one fruit), place it in front of your child and watch them devour it away!

Grapes and berries are a good favourite to go with yogurt. You may also use strawberries, pineapple, mango... virtually any fruit your child enjoys.

A different way to do this is to take flavored yogurt and set chunks of the same fruit inside it. For example, put small cubes of mango in mango flavored yogurt etc.

Hummus
You can't live in Dubai and not like hummus. Children love hummus. It’s an excellent snack and makes for great breakfast too. Chop up cucumbers or carrots and let your children make use of the hummus as a dip.

Khubus or toast is another good option to eat hummus with.

French toast / Pancakes
Before you decide to say anything about how long the process takes let me just say two words. Prior preparation. Prepare the batter the night time before and refrigerate it. If you’re really tight on time, you can make the batter over the past weekend and store it for without notice to make them later in the week.

The only issue is that making pancakes needs time to work on the stove. Well, much less time as you may think - unless you’re which makes them for 10 or more kids. Limit the amount of pancake or french toast your kids can eat. No more than 2 per person and you’ll be carried out in no time.

Sandwiches
Sandwiches are generally a school lunch item however they don’t always have to be. There are plenty of option. Peanut, butter and jelly never neglect to put a smile on a child’s face. Hershey’s Chocolate sauce spread on bread which always managed to put a smile on mine. Then there’s other available choices such as cheese, mortadella, tomato and cucumbers etc.

Something that is healthy, can be wedged between two sliced of bread and makes your son or daughter look forward to breakfast is the perfect sandwich ingredient.

Other breakfast staples
The above mentioned healthy breakfasts are child pleasers. But we musn’t forget additional things that should be included in every breakfast.

Nuts - they must be given with every breakfast. Almonds are often best.

Milk - Be it plain milk or chocolate as well as other flavour. Having your child drink milk in breakfast is essential. Growing children need all of the calcium they can get.

Juice - It’s okay to skip on milk once in a while. Give them juice instead. Freshly squeezed is the greatest.

Fruit - Whether it’s an apple, banana or orange, your son or daughter should eat some fruit every single day. Unless your child is very selective about his fruits, keep rotating the fruits he's in breakfast.
