Invitations

When selecting invitations, go for ones that appear to be like traditional Valentines. You may also make your own! Not everyone may even need an invitation. For good friends or family, send your invite via email or just call with your invitation. A great rule of thum is to invite guests three weeks prior to party time so that they will have time to schedule it in.

Decorations

When decorating your home for any couples’ party, think elegant and romantic. Candles really are a perfect way to set an intimate mood and add a stylish glow to any room of your home. Bouquets of fresh and artificial flowers can also add to the level of romance. You may even want to tie some pink and red balloons for your mailbox outside to add a festive look making it easy for guests to obtain the party.

Party Favors

Even adults enjoy party favors. As each guest leaves, present all of them with a small favor like a miniature box of chocolates, a candle, a little bottle of bubble bath or perhaps a miniature bottle of flavored liqueur. Speaking of alcohol, always be certain all guests who’ve consumed possess a designated driver or have a taxi home.

Menu

For a Valentine’s Day party, appetizers and finger foods are great. Crudités with ranch dipping sauce is definitely a classic choice. Also try shrimp cocktail, miniature smoked sausages with Dijon mustard, bowls of poker chips and pretzels, bacon wrapped scallops and cheese combined with whole wheat crackers. For dessert, choose serving size strawberry shortcake, cupcakes, heart shaped cookies and gourmet chocolates. Beverages may include champagne, red and white wine, and non-alcoholic punch.
